From Henry Gaines Sr’s first Indiana job of building concrete foundations throughout Indiana and Ohio in the 1950’s to laying thousands of miles of roads, sidewalks, building federally funded HUD projects from Charleston-West Virginia to Chicago- Illinois. The Gaines’s roots run deeply and far reaching. Founded in 1958, the company has evolved from a concrete and masonry company to a full-fledged General Contracting and Construction Management firm.

The reins were given to Michael A. Gaines to succeed in his father’s footsteps. He brought the company to another level of expertise in 1984 with General Contracting and Construction Management.

Aegis USA, inc. has completed many projects under his tenure, from new luxury residential homes to many commercial projects, historic building renovations, office build outs, new churches, and light commercial buildings. Our customers range from the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Department of Interior, City of Fort Wayne, City of Tampa, Dekalb County, Georgia, State of Florida, U.S. Postal Service, the list is too numerous to name them all.

Through many years of evolving, we have arrived at a point of service and excellence to our many customers. We were formally Gateway Construction Company and throughout our forty plus years of serving the construction industry, we have come to be known as Aegis USA, Inc. We are known for our care and concern for our customers and the projects. We only strive to satisfy our customers and expedite their projects as if they were our own. We are General Contractors and Construction Managers serving the New Jersey and New York metro areas.
